Climbing up the Mountain (Mount Everest)

Introduction

So On other previous posts I have talked about the show the Titan Games and their obstacle courses and how I found the obstacles relatable in many aspects of our life especially the really tough challenge that require more endurance than strength. Especially obstacles like The Lunar Impact and The Herculean Pull that require strength and endurance a lot more. Seeing many of these obstacles does warrant inspirational music at the end for the fact that they made the accomplishment that they have been continually fighting for even I get fired up feeling like I did just witnessing what they have accomplished especially *coughs* The ones I am rooting for *coughs*.  I enjoy seeing the obstacles and Especially as the Rock Presents the obstacles that I believe that he himself also works out on on his workout routine.  The final segment and competition of the Show That Officially Labels you a "TITAN" is The obstacle course called Mount Everest.

Making a Mountain out of a hill

We would know the term making a Mountain out of a Molehill as the dictionary defines noun. the small mound of earth thrown up by a burrowing mole. make a mountain out of a molehill to exaggerate an unimportant matter out of all proportion.
Basically as I see the definition as to make a simple task or situation more difficult than it has to see or even feel like. So as I explained the definition, as I grew up I tend to make hills out of mountain especially when you grow up somewhat over-privileged especially with a Nice Big Screen TV, and even very comfortable couch and a nice kitchen connected to the Living Room with nice delicious food and having nearly 5 to 6 course meals and being fat and almost living like 5 Kings. We even had 5 bedrooms and almost 5 bathrooms especially having our own individual bathrooms. But we had some very serious problems well not serious but it was made a lot more serious than it should have been and this was during my teenage years so it seemed like there was always a lot of things I have learned that I wish I did a lot sooner than I should be. So after living like Kings and even my mom being driven to bananas from her work hours and have to catch up on her mortgage which was a big struggle while my brother and I were very very lazy. So every time you would see how our rooms was well really my room it was a dead on mess and it came to a serious point to where my mom had to intervene and clean my room out of severe frustration. It came to a point where my mom would say I am a "Nasty Boy" made me think of the song from Janet Jackson. So even my brother and I would criticize one another and point fingers instead of coming up with a plan to get the place so fresh and so clean which we did sometimes but much more of the time we would leave areas messy and would be lazy bums. So after we Moved from Miami to Boston so much has changed believe it or not.

Trying to make a hill out of a mountain or a hill out of a hill

So when I left Miami and moved into Boston our brothers new condo and well things were different and Radically different. The first day we lived in Milton even the first morning our laziness and our slacking off was easily exposed even how oblivious and naive we were to our own behaviors and instincts. So it was a huge mountain of our own we have to climb even though it should be a hill to climb. Unfortunately it was a mountain for us to climb because Myself  was out of shape and I slept way too much and even slept in and even cleaned hardly especially our rooms and house where we had to have structure and match up to the routine. Well everything did start off where we had to do the basic organizations and learn that we had to wake up earlier than usual and even learning how to keep a place clean. We were doing alright with the cleaning but there were some flaws we had that were exposed and then eventually we had to get whipped in shape especially where we couldn't do this one thing which was buy Toilet Paper it was a very task my brother basically asked me and we couldn't do that and eventually when my mom came to the house she made me call my brother to buy toilet paper something he tasked us to do.  So when he asked for the money for the toilet paper he made us go downstairs and then he bought the toilet paper. Then he had us down and express in A Parable or Story he shared and expressed how he felt not getting the SIMPLE job done, and looking back at it I realized how simple it was and then eventually he had to deprive our privilege of playing video games for a week and if we regress more in our laziness then the next step would be no TV! So that actually whipped us into shape in many different ways as we learned to wake up earlier and be more active and taking initiative and more mature responsibility. But it did not end there as there was still things to develop in.

The Process of climbing the mountain

So when we began school we were under a study regiment and we even had to burn the midnight oil and for me I was not disciplined in school at all so this was a wake up call, I mean I did got most of my homework done my freshman year but I feel like I always do enough to get by. So Sophomore year is where I began learning The two Big Words : HARD WORK. It began when My brother got the job doing the paper route to provide for the house and for his 2 younger brothers which myself is included. Eventually months later he decided to include us in the job doing the paper route as much as I love decking and dodging doing paper route and wanted to sleep in but it was not going to happen. So when we did our first day doing the Paper route it was a shake up learning about what it means to have a job and even dealing with real consequences that would cause you your paycheck. So We had to deliver over 100 papers On Saturday and over 200 on Sunday and had to wake up at 3 am and get ready and then begin our paper route as we go to the plant to bag our papers and then go to each and every house and deliver the papers on one route. We would see other people in the same occupation delivering the papers which is quite some motivation because they have to get up early and deliver the papers also. So it was quite a journey on what hard work really is Marijuana and Working Out - CNBS  Bedroom-Cleaning Checklist | POPSUGAR Smart Living

Battling the Process of climbing the mountain

So as my brother and myself was doing the paper route and so our older brother was pushing expectations on us and seems like him being tough on us maybe was the boost we need as long as we didn't like it. So as we started doing the paper route it was going to be a struggle but we had firm instruction on how the papers should be delivered and there were either consequences or reward. So the reward was there would be a few customers that would tip us and the consequences would be there would be complaints and would cost us our Paycheck and apparently that is something we don't want. So I remember doing with the paper route with me and my older brother close to my age and our older driving and leading the group. So What I learned and understand is how to shatter expectations and battle laziness now, but then I was a real ingrate and also also wanting to sleep in and not fight to learn hard work and hold grasp to what I was gaining. So we eventually stopped doing the paper route temporarily but instead wake up early and would be doing laundry. So what got me back into doing the paper route was I was punished for deceit. So I had to resume doing the Paper Route and it was tough one thing I didn't notice is I really grew doing the paper route was how hard I was working and how I became a Natural at excelling the Job and even been executing on the instruction even though there were times I made bumbling mistakes and have led to unnecessary conflicts and arguments but at the same time I had to learn humility and reality that I need to have tough skin and understand where I messed up. So for me to do the paper route with really just me and then my brother driving and sometimes helping. So We wanted to get the money paid for a camp we were trying to go to but really seems like we had to do the paper route to earn the money so instead of doing the paper route just on the weekends we also did the route even on the weekdays on the days of school as well alongside doing my after school football conditioning. So I had to take the lead of the paper route because I was doing the route for so long it lead me to taking the lead as my older brother was mad about not wanting to take the lead it even lead to the older brother of both of us telling him to quiet. As I was sitting back and seeing him refuse to eat the big slice of humble pie. So eventually we did earn the money but one thing I can tell you is that I was once again a real ingrate complaining about how come we had to do the paper route to earn the money to go to a camp we wanted to go to. So I had to understand you don't know what "Everyone Else" is doing to earn the money to go to a camp or to do anything and some had to get actual jobs so everyone has different situations. What I learned now is I shouldn't try to be like everyone else, I got to try to be better than everyone else. Climbing the Mountain is pushing yourself to revealing your untapped potential and having the capacity to reach your best and learn HARD-WORK.

Seeing the Results of Climbing the Mountain

As I began doing the Paper route and eventually started doing My football workouts, leaving Miami turned out to be a great thing to happen just observing how lazy and out of shape I was to being active and also losing weight and looking more physique and not just living on pipe dreams and just resting my fat belly on my laurels. So there was a lot of growth that had to come with it. So on top of it all I even saw how much potential was received just putting in the work by taking initiative as well. No matter how hard the challenge is, put your mind into believing you can get it done, YOU WILL Get it Done!
