Yeah so For those who have saw the Movie or even read my blogs about the Pursuit of Happyness from one of my older blogs, well I am putting quite a twist to it there has been a serious Coronavirus that has been going on that has been leading to a Quarantine as people have been recommended to stay in their and only go to groceries or even pharmacies and on top of that there has been even a social distancing. Those who have seen the movie well I will say it kinda brings quite a reverse or even an interesting story. Apparently it has been tough being Quarantined but however there has been a lot of openings to things being productive on what can be done at home.
So I remember watching the Movie the Pursuit of Happyness the plot of the movie was interesting where Will Smith played Chris Gardner a man who tried to make sales selling a product that was not very useful, and which indeed had an impactive plot development. As he indeed he made little to no sales which led him to a struggling relationship with his family and so many downhill events have happened, I recommend you watch this movie it can be hard to explain without spoilers.
So I have also been reading the book the Pursuit of Happyness and it is a bit different than the movie, as the show takes you before all the movie events have happened indeed. Well to explain the movie Chris Gardner struggled with selling scanners and then end up not making money which really frustrated his family as his girlfriend leaves him and then him and his son end up getting evicted from their apartment due to insufficient funds to pay rent. So he end up jumping from home to home and was homeless and then even end up sleeping in the bathroom at one point as well as even not having a plan on where to go during his traveling through train station especially through the fact that he doesn't have a car. That brought a tough journey I can just imagine what it is like especially During the CoronaVirus it can be a struggle especially where we are trapped in our homes the feeling of going out and getting a breath of fresh air and being around people it can be a real struggle especially the urge of living a free liberal life and doing great events, but however it is really important to embrace the isolation and even your health that is extremely important. The Pursuit of Healthyness is very important because it can feel like homelessness if your health goes downhill.
The ending of the movie I can say was very inspirational and on top of that it showed how Chris Gardner the Character in the movie can really overcome the odds which was greatly based on a true story that made it even more inspirational. All the stuff he had to go through and even losing his girlfriend that left him and lost his home and then eventually getting a job was the most inspirational please watch this movie and see how it developed it is a phenomenon it can show with this huge drop of how things have been going on now. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel where things can get picked back up again, and on top of that you can get your MultiMillionaire feel where everything can get picked back up to normal, well actually not just normal but very full of life and higher than that.
So we know This Month is Women's History Month however there has been
something else in mind that has been going down and has been a really
big thing and I have to say has rocked the entire world not even just
Japan, but now to other nations and continents especially the United States on top of that. The Corona Virus has started in Japan but even if I lived to be 100 I would have never imagined that The corona Virus would spread to the United States never mind where I lived. Well there has been a quarantine that has been going on and on top of that it even led to NCAA March Madness tournament being cancelled and on top of that Other College sports have been cancelled. It even led to NBA, NHL season and even MLB season being put on hold for an indefinite amount of time, so much stuff being put on hold or even could be at a suspense where things could even be cancelled as well.
So I have a great friend of mine who lives in Italy who really inspired me to make this title of this Blog, and I got to love the greeting from the Story that she indeed made it was awesome, and hence the title of the Blog! I love the greeting of the defeating the Virus because I was able to Morph the term into a positive as a Virus as an obstacle that we need to overcome or even a pain to even recover and even heal from. The Quarantine can come in many ways and there can be mixed feelings which I have whether it is being sheltered in a negative way and can even be in a positive way as well. Getting the Virus is a very perilous situation and apparently there has been strong feelings from it can be a panic or even a faith in confidence this will be overcome and on top of that it can even be viewed as a comedy, but it has been mostly viewed as a serious situation. The Corona Virus has made quite an impact.
What I have been doing during the Quarantine and the whole Corona Virus Shebang, well something I have been usually doing during the morning and even doing as much as I can which is chilling playing video games and on top of that I have been chatting with people who have been struggling with the Quarantine and with isolation and is bored so they really need to require a ton of encouragement which is needed to be passed on. And occupying yourself at home this can be a time to regroup and recover from the stressful days we face on our day to day life which indeed we are in need to overcome. Working out as in exercise or even going on outdoor runs in your yard as well. But for myself I really am glad to have exercise equipment at home and on top of that I am glad to have an elliptical to run on even when it is tough but still phenomenal for me to use for me to keep pushing myself with. Keeping yourself occupied and even going outside with your own air and space has been very important to yourself and even your health. It could be many other things that can even keep you occupied, but it needs to me whether physical and mental something to keep you active and not stressed out or even keep you down.
The Pushups and even the Shake weight which I have been doing Quarantine or not well and oh the Elliptical I have been doing. But also what I have been doing well I have been going from chatting with people to relaxing and playing video games and watching television, making sure I got more sleep. Now I have been making sure I clean a bit more than usual and be more consistent in maintaining which I need quite some work on.
So to explain the Term Defeating the Virus, the virus is of course a sort of sickness. When I heard the Corona well I looked at it like an infection metaphorically as an obstacle a setback and we all go through one or even multiple that needs to be overcome especially. The Speeches I have made during the post workout has been made especially to continue to be uplifting as I could day to day and to show that these are temporary setbacks and not permanent ones. And the Quarantine especially is another setback to be sheltering yourself from negativity and other toxic situations that is going to affect you and even bring you down as well. Keep pushing through the circumstance and soon it will make you stronger and even a distant memory.
Women's History Month I feel is a very exciting Month. Learning about
what the women have accomplished and even the challenge they went
through from so many decades, yes there was a battle of racism around
the same time as sexism. Seeing different types of women make a huge
impact is quite amazing, and there has been many in the many decades we
have lived in. I even posted a blog post about women's history month and
even related to a Nike commercial where they talked about being
Emotional, Crazy etc. Relatable terms where I can even relate so I can
understand what it means to be crazy in so many different ways and even
when you show intensity and do something larger than life especially
when you become radical and strike fear and impact on many others.
For
Women who are making the most major impact it has started out in
getting in the Men's field whether it is being in the Military, or
flying an airplane, or even being involved in voting or even Speaking
out in advocating for Women's Rights. Even Showing many types of Courage
and boldness and at a point where they refused to back down especially
when it came to a point where it really started a Boycott. They end up
in a chain of discrimination alongside the racism. When it comes to a
sort of challenge and stereotype or just a belief oh oh you can't do it
because of your appearance or whoever you are.
One of
the big places in the Men's field that has become very common where
women can make a major impact is in Sports and now it has became a point
where they are becoming coaches not just in Women's sports but also in
Men's sports as well. Especially a little after 2 decades when the WNBA
made their debut and I remembered as a kid I asked my brothers do women
or girls play basketball, and then my question was answered when I end
up seeing them on TV. When I was in Middle School I saw some sports
played by women where I would see some of the teams be coached by Men
which seems interesting also some of the teams be coached by women. But
the new interesting I would love to see is seeing a Mens Sports team
especially basketball, and it began where we had a female assistant
coach in The NBA D-League and then in College Football but then it
really sparked when there was 2 female assistant coaches in the Major
League where it happened in the respective sports of the NFL and The
NBA.
The
Female assistant coach I really want to talk about is that she is the
coach of The San Fransisco 49ers and her name is Kate Sowers, who served
as the offensive coordinator for the 49ers. I wanted to talk about her
because seeing her in a commercial and on top of that just like wow she
is the coach for The Successful 49ers in the 2019 season and on top of
that grabbing the opportunity to become a football coach the job she has
been striving for. It was interesting to see her in a commercial but I
was like wow she is a female assistant coach that is insane I at times
wonder if she is in Madden as well. I really am excited to hear about
her making the accomplishment and even be a huge part in the Superbowl
and I was hoping she was the first female coach to win the Super Bowl.
Katie
Sower grew up with the joy and passion of playing football growing up
with her twin sister and even her neighbor friends as she made phone
calls to orchestrate a football game in a competitive fashion. She grew
up playing basketball in high school and college as a 4 year star
athlete, and on top of that played Volleyball and Track and Field. She
grew up in an athletic family as her dad was a college basketball coach.
As her College Career concluded she vie for a coaching spot in
Football, and even played football in a female football league until she
was forced to retire due to a hip injury. On the bright side she got to
finisher her career with a Championship from the WFA. The Next Chapter
in her Football Career was partaking as an intern for The Atlanta
Falcons before joining the San Fransisco 49ers. Even the fact that
became the First Female Assistant and even Openly Gay Female Assistant
Coach To be in the Super Bowl.
Seeing this Commercial and realizing that Katie Sowers was a female coach for a winning team is phenomenal. Seeing her commercial on becoming the one and even taking leadership of some sort. "Not trying to be the best female coach, I am trying to be the best coach" What really stood out to me Striving to be past the gender role and just striving to be the best role that you are in PERIOD! No Matter the race or gender, where I stand with my own challenges it goes beyond the gender it goes beyond the setbacks even with Katie when she faced rejection getting the job as a coach or even playing on the football team with boys even. Battling rejection and being looked down upon is the biggest opponent you have to battle to win against other opponents not just in games but in life PERIOD! I have to say congratulations Katie Sowers.
