I remember hearing about the Movie 8 Mile and even hearing the promotions of the Movie as well. I did hear the song "Lose Yourself" And really like the song and even the Lyrics as well. Especially the line "One Shot do not miss your chance to blow, This Opportunity comes once in a LifeTime." And the opportunity can really come and go very quickly and even quickly can be missed as well. For the most part and putting the energy in what you really want to work in can be really and even very important. The story about Where Eminem's character is battle rapping and has faced failure or even other challenges where he would hesitate to battle back and I have to say choke. So his friend tried to encourage to get back into battle rapping and get into his confidence and show that he can win. For him to face the challenge that he face well explains a lot in the story in the movie.
In the movie where his opposition was and well for me not to give away the whole movie and explain SPOILER FREE because I recommend you guys and maybe not kids maybe at least pre teens, it is a Rated R movie but was still a great storytelling movie that even won an academy award as well, and yes the movie was wayyyyy back in 2002 nut it is still an award winning classic. Never knew how appealing and well done the movie was, and even how much talked about it was. In the Movie 8 Mile he had his own home and was forced to crash at his mom's place with her and sister and then With having a 9 to 5 job, and striving to get extra shifts and even having a car that doesn't really work, and even having to deal with his mom's boyfriend, who is not very respectful to her and even the other family members. Also including the road to accomplish his aspiration as a rapper he had to battle adversity Especially being rivals with a talented rapper being part of a bullying clique.
Basically the climax of the movie began and continued on with so many challenges in his life where he was battle rapping and struggled to step up to the challenge, where he was writing music and even trying to battle the adversity going on in his life which drew a ton of inspiration for his music and even come up with raps also as write rhymes and bars down as well. The story of the movie I believe with the adversity around him and serves also as the antagonist in the Movie played by actor Mackie, being the big opposition that he has to go through to excel as a rapper, it really summed up the big 8 Mile of where he has to keep striving to the Finish Line and try to win.
The term 8 Mile and going the extra mile really means to me hearing the song 8 Mile, and Lose Yourself is to go the Extra Mile and just strive all the way to the level where you have to win and you have to keep pushing to the level of WINNING. To Me I have experienced losing especially being on all sports team that underachieve when I was in high School and I really know how it feels to not be on a team that is on the level of Winning and for my brothers who played on High School Football teams that have achieve even though they didn't win a championship team that won games especially more than loss can be a good feeling. I can say I have experienced losing and not striving to the fullest to be successful and fight My Biggest ANTAGONIST which is the obstacle that is causing me to lose which is Laziness or even just not applying myself to the full. Seeing The Movie 8 Mile and Eminem's Character Jimmy just stand up to the challenge and even just battle the challenges in the movie almost like how I progressed in my own Morning run where I started slow and even battle my pain in my left hip that was slowing me down but then eventually I had to persevere and just continue running or just give up and even strive for progress. Striving through the 8 Mile (even though it was a name of a neighborhood in Detroit) road can make you stronger and help expose what your real challenges are and hear the solution calling you to solve all these issues, and something I began realizing and even beginning to battle myself as well.
